‘Courtship Disorder’ is a controversial term used by sexologists including John Money to describe a spectrum of human behaviours, especially in men, ranging from exhibitionism, voyeurism, toucherism and rubbing through to rape. My video borrows the term to address cruising amongst gay men as a form of courtship disorder; exploring the cottage, the bathhouse and the sex club as spaces of public and private sexual arousal.
